I had hoped that as more and more people get Long Covid governments would eventually take action to stop the spread. So far, only the first part of my hope came true. So far, indeed, governments are literally encouraging the spread of the disease and downplaying and denying its long term consequences. Whenever Long Covid gets a mention now, it is someone from the pre-vaccine age - so that the pretence can be maintained that vaccines prevent Long Covid!
Another problem is that half the sufferers of Long Covid themselves don't even seem to realise that constant reinfection means their Long Covid can never end, and the other half are too exhausted and confused to take the kind of action necessary.
